Ian is a Partner in the Private Client Division, a member of the Law Society's Probate Section and a full member of the prestigious STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Ian graduated from Exeter University in 1993, qualified with Bennett Griffin in 1996 and became a Partner in 2000. He has a particular interest in the strategic development of the firm and is also a director in Bennett Griffin’s Financial Planning company, BG wealth Ltd.

Ian has a pragmatic approach when providing timely legal advice. He embraces the Bennett Griffin principle that "prevention is better than cure". He enjoys turning what can seem complex problems into clearly understood solutions and strategies for the future. His experience and expertise covers Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate and Tax Planning and he is proud to be Attorney and Deputy for a number of local clients who are potentially vulnerable.

Ian has a young family who share his passion for the outdoors. When he is not running, travelling or playing golf, he enjoys reading and art.
