Personal Law & Injury Advice
Injured – what should I do?
Firstly, concentrate on your health. The first few weeks after an accident are usually the most painful and traumatic. BG’s advice is always to focus on your recovery before making any hasty decisions that you may later come to regret.
Secondly, don’t be misled by insurance companies, either your own or anyone else’s that you have to make your claim through them or through a solicitor of their choice. You don’t. You have the freedom to choose your own solicitor. If you have instructed a panel solicitor and are not happy with the service you are receiving or you would prefer to have a solicitor local to you who you can meet and contact easily, it is not too late.
You can transfer your instructions without prejudicing your claim.
However, it is important not to delay making a claim too long. There are time limits, and securing evidence at an early stage could be vital to the success of your claim.
Please contact us and we will provide you with the information and advice that you need to arrive at the right decision.
Any initial meeting is without charge or obligation. We can meet in one of our offices, at your home or at another place convenient to you.
